Repair or replace — priced in rand, and what the ranges leave out

This edition prices its South African page in rand from a South African repair company that works in Gauteng and the Western Cape: the ranges it publishes for fridges and for washing machines, the fault each one is for, and the call-out and diagnostic charge it lists separately. The same publisher states that those figures are estimates rather than quotes, and it publishes no job count, no median and no method behind them — so this page reproduces the ranges and says so, instead of turning them into a median.

No repair guide is published in this edition yet: the rand ranges below are the first South African page, and every figure on it comes from the source cited beside it.

The South African page above is priced in rand, from the South African source cited on it. The guides linked below are United States and Canadian market pages: their prices are in dollars from the sources cited on them, and they are not South African prices.
