Repair or replace — priced in pounds, and what the ranges leave out
This edition prices its British page in pounds from four British sources: the survey ranges a consumer organisation publishes appliance by appliance, the fixed labour charge one Liverpool repair business prints for its own work, the fixed price list a London repair company publishes for each appliance it lists, and the results a funded repair voucher trial reported for North London. The consumer organisation prints the size of its own sample, and it is a number of traders rather than a number of repairs; the two averages from the voucher trial are the value of a redeemed voucher and the saving residents reported. No British publisher found here publishes a job count or a median, so this page reproduces the figures with the sources’ own limits instead of turning them into a median.
