Repair or replace — priced in Kenyan shillings, and what the ranges leave out

This edition prices its Kenyan page in Kenyan shillings, from three Kenyan repair businesses: the spare-parts and labour table one Westlands workshop publishes, the service charges it lists beside it, a second company’s typical fridge repair costs, and a Nairobi page’s own estimated cost table. Each of them states that its figures are estimates rather than quotes, and none of them publishes a job count, a median or a method behind the ranges — so this page reproduces the ranges and says so, instead of turning them into a median. Where two of the sources share an owner, the page says that too, because figures from one operator do not corroborate each other.

No repair guide is published in this edition yet: the shilling ranges below are the first Kenyan page, and every figure on it comes from the source cited beside it.

The Kenyan page above is priced in Kenyan shillings, from the Kenyan sources cited on it. The guides linked below are United States and Canadian market pages: their prices are in dollars from the sources cited on them, and they are not Kenyan prices.
